Crystal Structure Viewer
An applet that allows 3D viewing of common unit cells for metals,
and some ceramics. This also allows for the drawing of crystallographic
planes and crystallographic directions

Bubble Raft Simulations
In earlier days, bubble rafts were used to help visualize a number of
behaviours on the atomic scale. Although they are far from a perfect
representation of atoms, they do demonstrate certain phenomena well
enough.
This is a simple applet to simulate a bubble raft experiment.

Virtual Microscope - ME230 Lab 2
This is an applet to simulate using a Olympus BHM microscope to
view a metallographic sample.
The samples loaded are intended for Lab. 2 of ME230 at uWaterloo

Jominy Bar End Quench Simulator - ME230 Lab 3
End Quench tests of Jominy bars are a common way of measuring the
hardenability of steels. This applet simulates the general procedure of
working with through a Jominy Bar End Quench test. The Hardness data are
generated using Yurioka's Model so that a wide range of composition can be
done.

A virtual microscope was also set up for microstructure
observations of three specific AISI steels after the Jominy end quench
test. The three steels corresponds to the steel samples used for Lab. 3 of
ME230 at uWaterloo
